ICELAND 🇮🇸

Loneliness is the beauty.

It’s a place of Ice and Fire, together it’s a birthplace for countless magnificent waterfalls. No other place landscape changes right in front of your eyes faster than Iceland. We love Iceland so much we visited twice. Each time it was different experience.

On our first trip 4D/3N, we traveled Iceland “Ring Road”, only main road in Iceland that loops around the island, and our road trip took about 3-1/2 days.
Our 4 nights stay starting from Reykjavik-Akureyri-Hofn-Reykjavik.
Approximate drive time
Reykjavik to Akureyri: 5 hours
Akureyri to Hofn: 6 hours
Hofn- to Reykjavik: 5-1/2 hours
1/2 day we drove around the “Golden Circle” road, most touristic and good number of attractions circle around this road.

Our Second trip 6D/5N was focused on driving over the highland, mountain roads known as F-Roads. Some river crossing and 4x4 drive would require, some place you may need a bit strong heart crossing such river. It all depends on season, and following weather and guidelines.
On this trip, we also experienced staying in some amazing Airbnbs. One of which was middle of nowhere in a local farm with horses, beautiful dogs and cat. We simply loved it.

After arriving Reykjavik, we drove straight to north. 4 hours drive to north Varmahlíd , Hestasport Cottages.

Day 1, we enjoyed this beautiful Airbnb Hestasport Cottages , drove and explored the surrounding areas.
Day 2, it was 6 hours mountain dirt road drive (Road F-35 north to south), from north Iceland to Hveradalir to Gullfoss Falls.
Day 3, we drove mountain road F-208. Some of our trip photos and video on YouTube Channel would give you a glimpse of experience driving over the highlands.
Day 4 and 5, we stayed in a local farm, Airbnb. One of the best of Iceland trip. Horse ride, farm animals, and surrounded by dogs and cat. In the middle of nowhere, it was simply amazing. We stayed mostly in South Iceland, explored some waterfalls, drove back again in Reykjavik to get COVID test to prepare our return trip home.

Remember "“Not I, not anyone else can travel that road for you. You must travel it for yourself”
